We are looking for a candidate who is motivated with a can do attitude to join our team of Medical Receptionists on a part time basis. The job requires multitasking in a busy environment.
Job Description
- Answering telephone calls, scheduling of appointments and responding to inquiries.
- Provide ongoing support to all staff
- Appropriate management of all patient claims
- Management of patient medical records, including incoming correspondence.
- Daily banking reconciliation.
- Faxing, posting and attending to all in coming mail.
- General daily administration duties as per the daily work list.
Essential selection criteria
- Experience in liaising with doctors, staff and allied health professionals and patients on a daily basis.
- Have proficient computer skills.
- Experience with Medicare billings.
- Ability to multi task and perform appropriately under pressure with attention to detail.
- Flexibility in working hours and reliability.
- Must be available to cover sick and holiday leave.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
- Excellent customer service skills and effective interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English language.
- Excellent telephone communication skills.
- Can-do attitude.
- Fully vaccinated against Covid -19 VIC Government requirement for all Health Facilities.
Desirable selection criteria
• Prior experience with Best Practice software.
• CPR certificate
