- Exciting opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary paediatric practice focused on best quality holistic care to patients and family.
- Our receptionist team is the face of our practice, giving that all important first point of contact to our patients. If you are passionate about customer service and patient care, then we would love you to apply to join our team.
- You will provide vital support to all of our paediatricians ,Allied Health Team, and administration staff.
About the role
Tasks and Responsibilities This role includes but not limited to:
- Meeting and greeting all patients to the practice
- Answering phones
- Managing patient consulting sessions
- Patient billing, receipting and online claiming to Medicare.
- General office duties including processing all incoming emails
- Scanning and filing medical records in a mostly paperless practice
- Management and preparation of patient files and records, ensuring all results, referrals and other necessary documentation is ready for patient consultation.
- Other duties as required by management
Required knowledge and skills
- Experience as a Medical Receptionist
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and use initiative.
- Ability to work autonomously under minimal supervision
- Commitment to being part of a team
- Outstanding people skills with the ability to relate well to patients, health care professionals and to foster team relationships.
- Excellent computing skills; experience in Mac (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience in the use of Genie Medical Software (desirable)
- Ability to remain calm in a busy and varied work environment with competing demands.
- Audiotyping (desirable)
