The Queensland Eye Institute has a fantastic opportunity for a professional and motivated Ophthalmic Medical Receptionist to join their busy specialist medical practice. The main function of the role will be answer incoming phone calls to the clinic and assisting our patients with scheduling their appointments, responding to queries and directing calls to the clinical team.
Maintaining a mature work ethic, you will be first point of contact for doctors and patients and will be required to provide a high level of service to internal and external patients.
Your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Answering incoming phone calls
- Welcoming patients into the clinic
- First point of contact to all new and return patients of the clinic via the phone or in person
- Assisting patients with appointment times
- Undertaking Theatre Bookings for the patients
- Assisting patients with completion of theatre booking paperwork
- Generating new patient letters and correspondence
- Assisting Doctors with queries and responding to patients
- General administration duties including scanning
The QLD Eye Institute is seeking a highly motivated and professional individual who will possess the following:
- Previous reception experience in the medical or specialist industry
- Strong computer skills
- High level of customer service
- Well developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Mature work ethic
- Strong organisational skills
- VIP similar experience highly regarded
This role with provide assistance at our clinics at Woolloongabba and Clayfield
Successful applicants must have previous Medical Receptionist experience or experience in a Specialist Medical Environment. An excellent remuneration package is on offer.
