Working for a delightful Orthopaedic Surgeon in the northern suburbs, your medical secretarial experience and professionalism will be highly valued in this part-time position (2-3 days per week job share) with flexibility to provide sick leave and annual leave cover. You will be responsible for running all aspects of the practice and you will be the main point of contact for patients and healthcare professionals alike, providing courteous and empathetic care. Qualifications & experience
- Surgical Room experience
- Genie medical software (preferable but not mandatory)
Tasks & responsibilities
- Maintain the smooth running of a busy orthopaedic practice
- Front desk reception and telephone
- Schedule patient appointments
- Prepare patient accounts, accept and receipt payments
- Manage hospital/theatre bookings, liaise with anaesthetists and surgical assistants
- Prepare quotations for surgery and patient surgical accounts
- Use of Genie medical software and Eclipse for submission of private health fund claims
- Submit Medicare/DVA Online billing
- Medical Audiotyping
