Medical secretary/receptionist for Specialist doctor,
John Flynn private Hospital,
Tugun, Gold Coast QLD- 4224
Part-time to full-time permanent position.
Paygrade: $30-$37 per hour.
Essential requirements for the job:
- Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a specialist practice;
- Proficiency with Genie/ Gentu software including patient bookings, billings, downloading pathology results, timely distribution of letters to GPs;
- Demonstrated experience with private health funds / Medicare / DVA Billings. Reconciliation of Billings, invoicing and accounts management including proficiency in eclipse billing software;
- Knowledge of pathology and radiology result retrieval, medical software referrals and uploading on the genie software;
- Ability to liaise with other specialists, medical administration and general practice staff for smooth and efficient coordination and delivery of patient care;
- Previous Medical secretary work in a specialist / GP practice for a minimum of one year with good references

- Demonstrated initiative to work proactively and progressively for practice growth and promotion;
- Proficiency with time management and task prioritisation;
- Well developed interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively with the specialist in marketing and business development;
- Willingness to travel between practices to support and promote practice expansion and growth;
- Proven ability to relate professionally and respectfully as a mature team player;
Background checks:
- Police Clearance, identity documents and clearance to work is essential;
- A minimum of two recent referees available on request .
Teamwork and collaboration:
- Ability to follow Specialist’s instructions and update in a timely manner to meet completion targets;
- Work in a team with collaboration, innovation and excellence.
