Motel Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Motel Manager who can run the property with remote support from the owner.
The people we are looking for should possess the following attributes.
? At least Diploma or Adv Diploma qualification in hospitality, Degree qualification in relevant field preferred.
? At least 2 years of previous experience in hospitality and/or motel management
? Ability to effectively manage time and staff.
? Warm, friendly and customer-orientated; be able to build rapport and maintain current relationships with both travelling guests and regular business guests
? Hands-on, honest, and reliable
? Competent office skills. Good computer skills. Proficient with GuestPoint booking system or similar.
? Positive and energetic, exceptional presentation with a professional demeanour
? Open driver's licence
? Current References required
? National Police check
Your daily and weekly duties will include but not limited to:
? Make periodic guest room check list. Arrange housekeeper for detail clean regularly to improve cleaning efficiency and ensure that the guest room is clean and well-equipped.
? Arrange staff working shifts based on booking situation. In the case of temporary staff changes, the manager needs to publish recruitment advertisements, and select excellent candidates through interviews. Provide basic training to enable the interviewees to get into working condition quickly and ensure the operation of motel.
? Supervise the reservation and vacancy situation and provide suggestion to motel owner in term of seasonal room rate adjustment.
? Supervise daily income and expenditure of the front desk, pay attention to the monthly motel income, cost, profit and other indicators, and report the hotel operation status to the owner regularly.
? Managers should pay attention to the quality of customer service at the front desk and housekeeper. In case of complaints that cannot be handled by the reception desk, the manager should timely and effectively deal with guest complaints, to improve customer satisfaction
? Learn about concerts, weddings and other events in the surrounding areas of motel, and set reasonable prices according to market demand to maximize revenue.
? Understand the scale, pricing and brand positioning of other accommodation providers around, pay attention to the pricing and occupancy rate of competitors, and adjust the pricing of own motel.
? Supervise motel security arrangement and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
