About the Role
The National Account Manager, Foodservice, will be responsible in managing the current key corporate distributor customer base & identifying new business opportunities within the FMCG channels that have a National footprint. The focus within this role is maintaining successful relationships with our current & new customers in order to achieve agreed sales targets and other key business metrics.
This role will support the National Business Manager in developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans to achieve Primo Foods long term vision of market share and profitability growth within the Foodservice Channel.
Your key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Achieve KRA's as agreed with NBM Foodservice
- Manage contract terms, pricing, rebates and discounts to maximise channel profitability.
- Formulate strategies, target business expansion plans and build cases for new business tenders that enable Primo to win long term contracts.
- Demonstrate outstanding commercial acumen and be able to analyse data in order to drive profitable volume for Primo and our customer(s)
- Develop plans and strategies which include the following key areas to achieve budgeted sales.
- NPD introduction to support distribution of new products
- Average Weighted Selling Price & management of Rollover pricing support
- Ongoing management of NSP & Net contribution ($ & %)
- Ongoing claims reduction plans, SOX compliance and payment terms compliance
- Promotional calendar & annual promotional plans & management of supporting Co-Op funds.
- Formulate strategies via joint collaborative business plans to increase customer and Primo profitability.
- In conjunction with Trade Marketing ensure the execution of all major marketing/NPD programs with speed and executional excellence that will result in a win/win for Primo and the Customer
- Provide thorough and detailed analysis of the customer, develop customer JBP & market to the business regularly and ensure that strategies are reviewed and when required revised.
- Optimise Primo Foods product mix for both customer and Primo.
- Manage the process of claims across the business and with customers. Ensure that all processes are adhered to within a timely manner and resulting in a successful resolution.
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing customer state and/or national distributor accounts.
- A proven track record of successful sales achievement in acquiring new business with detailed understanding of sales processes and best practices.
- Previous work experience in distributor environments, smallgoods manufacturing or FMCG
- General Foodservice knowledge and understanding of compliance, policies & procedures and government regulation.
- Outstanding commercial acumen - able to make commercial and customer P&L recommendations in order to drive profitable volume for Primo and our customers.
