THE ROLE
As the National Business Development Manager for our client, you will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with prospective clients, and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for creating and implementing effective sales strategies across the team and developing innovative approaches to promote our client's records management solutions. By leveraging your strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and proven sales expertise, you will contribute to the continued success and expansion of our client's market presence.
Responsibilities:
- Business Development Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Business Development strategy aligned with our client's growth objectives.
- Identify new market segments, potential customers, and key decision-makers to target for Business Development initiatives.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Drive the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting to negotiation and closing deals, while achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline by actively pursuing new business opportunities and effectively managing existing client accounts.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our client's records management solutions, highlighting their value proposition and competitive advantages.
- Relationship Building and Client Management:
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within target organisations.
- Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and networking events to deepen client engagement and understanding of their evolving needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure successful client onboarding and ongoing satisfaction.
- Proposal Development and Contract Negotiation:
- Prepare persuasive proposals, presentations, and business cases to effectively communicate our client's value proposition and secure new contracts.
- Lead contract negotiations, working closely with legal and executive teams to ensure favourable terms and conditions for our client.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends to enhance proposal development processes and maintain a competitive edge.
- Proven track record of at least 4 years in Business Development, sales, or account management roles.
