Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing you will lead by example and be responsible for providing clear and positive leadership to create and maintain a vibrant, high preforming business development culture. As part of the company’s leadership team, the National Sales Manager will oversee the sales function, develop strategic sales objectives, establish sales tactics & action plans that grow average spend per customer, allocate customers and quota to portfolios and ensure the overall performance of the sales function.
A typical day will include:
- Kick off the day with ‘what’s hot’, our weekly sales plan that was prepared in collaboration with our product team
- Work with your sales team to improve their performance through effective sales planning, coaching and tactical actions
- Review the customer book and find untapped potential to onboard new products
- Meet with a high potential customer to supply technology that is driving their business
- Align with our marketing team and plan the next promotion that will enable new leads
- Monitor and measure current results and take improvement actions
- Analyse and manage commercial information and provide timely reporting on insights
- Maintain up to date market knowledge and intelligence
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Been a member of a senior leadership team
- Experience in forecasting and developing sales results
- Experience in leading and coaching a team of 10 or more
- A disciplined approach to managing your sales performance and metrics
- Demonstrated experience in developing, and building a high-performing team
- An ability to successfully communicate a consistent message across all stakeholder groups
- Previous experience working in channel sales, an understanding of channel management concepts as well as proven business development skills
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Demonstrated strategic experience, with a focus on delivering results
- Experience in working with revenue greater than $100M + is preferred
