Golden Fries is a fast growing Australian, family-owned company and a leading manufacturer of potato products/ French fries, located in Melbourne.
Due to the continual growth of our organisation, we are currently seeking an energetic and experienced Sydney based Account Manager/Sales Representative to join us to expand and grow the business in NSW.
The ideal candidate will have an established network of contacts locally and regionally, experience working with the national distributors such as PFD, Bidfoods and Superior Foods, and crucially have experience dealing with frozen food distributors and products.
As NSW Sales Representative & Account Manager, your role will involve:
Sales Generation - Develop & maintain strong business relationships with allocated business, generate new business and manage accounts. Undertakes visits in allocated area to Distributors and End-users, initiating sales and demonstrating product.
Business Relationships - Initiate and ensure a responsive and pro-active approach to the sales marketing territory requirements.
Reporting Business Outcomes - Ensuring pro-active reporting of all sales requirements, including current and expected business outcomes, opportunities, forecasting, and emerging issues in line with regional requirements.
Corporate Citizenship - Ensure adherence to all corporate policies including agreements and approval processes, pricing and quotations, expense reporting and use of standard terms and conditions, use and management of company assets. Ensure ethical outcomes consistent with Code of Practice framework.
Personality – possess a sunny, positive ‘glass half-full’ attitude and outlook. Be reliable, trustworthy, transparent, and honest.
Teamwork – Be an effective team player of the Foodservice Team which is a small, tight-knit, and dedicated unit. Contribute to team outcomes/goals, maintaining effective and regular communication. Seek out opportunities to contribute to the development of the Foodservice Team.
Distributors – Key part of role is to engage with our distributors and their representatives. Experience dealing with frozen food distributors is essential.
Maintain a regular call cycle and build positive, constructive, and strong relationships to grow our business with them. Identify opportunities to maximise their spending potential and increase product ranging.
Conduct “cook-ups” and product presentations for buyers/sales team. Be available to accompany reps in trade as their source of expert knowledge.
Troubleshooting – be an effective problem solver.
End-users - Key objective is to drive product pull-through with distributors. Act as an ambassador and work with our distribution partners sales teams to improve their product knowledge and convey key sales points. Visit end-users to assist distributors with product knowledge, samples, win new business, maintain key accounts, and add value to existing accounts. E.g. conduct product presentation and cook-ups as required, engage in promotional programs and activity.
Other - Completing call cycle planning and updating customer databases.

Full, clean Australian Drivers Licence.
Mature outlook with relevant previous experience (minimum 5 years) required as a Sales Representative or similar role within the foodservice industry. An excellent opportunity for someone to grow their career.
Have demonstrated experience working with small and large distributors (particularly PFD, Bidfoods, and Superior) as well as end-users.
Have experience working with frozen food distributors and products.
