What do we do?

Our team provides growers with vital technical solutions & support to improve the quality of their crops and the productivity of their businesses. We provide climate systems, control systems, water systems and automation and labour-saving products to our customers. We have a strong focus on improving food quality, accessibility, and environmental sustainability. 

We are looking for an experienced Office Administrator to join the team at our Hallam office. This role can be full time or part time (ie 5 days per week, school hours) and is onsite.

Role Purpose

The role reports to our Financial Controller and will work with the Finance, Operations and Administration teams to maintain an organised and effective work environment and ensure customers are supported with sales and general inquiries. The role will also help support the wider Powerplants team by providing general administrative support and assistance.

Your Responsibilities:

Importantly you are the first point of contact for customers when they arrive out our office. 

You will also be responsible for:

  • Staff and customer queries/requirements.
  • Assisting with events and general marketing 
  • Online orders 
  • Helping the Technician and Installation teams to collate project costs
  • Orientation/onboarding of new staff i.e. issuing uniform/safety equip
  • Managing the stock of and re-order staff uniforms and safety equipment  
  • Managing office mail, phone calls, & general supplies
  • Administering the sale and delivery of counter-sale goods.
  • Sales orders – follow up of status of ordered parts with suppliers and freighters, and outbound international shipments.

General administration such as:

  • monitoring & ordering office/kitchen supplies
  • booking accommodation/flights for Senior Management 
  • Approving invoices  

You will also assist and support the Operations Administrator with:

  • Service orders/invoicing and purchase orders. 
  • Service and support customer queries
  • Entering Service jobs and cases for all customers 

Systems you will be using in this role

  • ERP Systems - MYOB Advanced.
  • SharePoint.
  • Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

You should consider this role if you have:

  • Experience in office administration, customer service and/or operations administration role.
  • Completed a Diploma or similar qualification in Business Administration
  • Experience managing an internal phone systems
