About the Role
The firm is currently in a growth phase which presents an opportunity for a highly organised and proactive Office Assistant to join our Corporate Services team.
This is a perfect opportunity for a recent school leaver looking for an entry level administration role in a busy law firm, or a student currently undertaking Certificate III in Legal Services.
This role will report to the Office Manager, you will be integral to the day to day running of the firm, so consistency and reliability are essential. Key responsibilities that this role would undertake include:
- answering incoming calls and relaying messages
- managing the incoming and outgoing mail
- monitoring and ordering of stationery
- drafting correspondence
- filing, scanning, copying and saving emails and legal documents
- preparation of cost agreements
- opening client files
- diary management and scheduling appointments
- ensuring the reception area and boardrooms are clean and tidy
- supporting the team with invoicing
- greeting clients and escorting them to meeting rooms
- archiving client files
- maintaining a high level of confidentiality of client details and matters
- ad-hoc duties.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to appropriately prioritise and complete tasks in a timely manner;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work well in a team environment. and
- Previous administration experience is desirable, but your attitude and determination is more important.
