Job description

Are you meticulous, organized, and passionate about maintaining a safe and healthy work environment? Join our team at Arafura Pest Control, a trusted local Pest Control company, as an Office and Health & Safety Administrator. We're seeking a proactive individual to support our office operations and ensure health and safety regulations compliance.

Responsibilities:

Office Administration

  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, and handling correspondence.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments and coordinating technician assignments.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, presentations, and other documents as needed.

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Organize safety training sessions for employees and provide ongoing support and guidance.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Documentation and Record-Keeping

  • Keep accurate records of safety-related activities, including incident reports, inspections, and training documentation.
  • Ensure all required permits, licenses, and certifications are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in office administration or a similar role is preferred.
  • Previous experience in health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
