About the role
Our client is a leading Building Materials Wholesaler dedicated to delivering high-quality products to a wide range of customers. With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, they have established themselves as a key player in the market. They are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join an expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, office management, and overseeing transportation. The Operations Manager will work closely with senior management and warehouse management to develop and implement strategies to improve productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations such as delivery coordination, transportation logistics, and distribution
- Manage staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Supervising warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Managing internal administrative tasks such as processing orders, invoicing, and maintaining records.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Providing regular reports and updates to the NSW Manager on office, transport, and warehouse activities
Job requirements
- At least 3-5 Yrs experience in operations management or a similar role
- Building supply or construction industry experience
- Experience of Warehouse operations and logistics
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
