Established over a decade ago, this position is with a family-run Residential Maintenance Plumbing business that has achieved incredible growth and success since its inception.
The company covers the Greater Brisbane region and is renowned for its quality of service, speed to action, and ongoing customer care.
With an established team structure, experienced leaders throughout the business, and a growing portfolio of customers, we are after an experienced Operations Manager to come and board and drive the next phase of growth for the company.
The Role
- Responsible for all operational requirements of the business
- Manage the actual delivery of plumbing services to our customer base, with support from the Finance & Admin Manager and Customer Service Manager, who all report into the MD
- The effective planning and coordination of our quoters
- Safety processes are monitored and adhered to
- Driving sales and revenue from different marketing avenues
- Driving gross profit and ensuring net profit remains strong
- Constructive meetings and strong relationships with managers.
- Compare results v targets and make improvements as required
- Key focus on productivity & efficiency across the business
- Drive culture across the teams and empower staff to own and deliver
- Ensure Sales plumbers are meeting conversation expectations and provide support, guidance & training as required
- Ensure effective and efficient job execution. Troubleshoot and improve as required to increase efficiencies
- Leading and mentoring the service managers and team of plumbers to achieve agreed targets
- Take the lead with difficult customers and/or situations that require senior-level intervention
The Person
- A plumbing licence
- 7+ years’ experience within the plumbing industry & strong technical knowledge
- 2+ years’ experience managing and leading teams within a similar business model
- Excellent people management skills and proven experience in leading, developing & managing teams
- Strong focus on relationship building, with both internal & external stakeholders
- A lover of processes and systems, with the drive to increase performance across every aspect of the business
- Drive and implement the business strategy, ensuring targets are achieved across time, quality, cost, and safety
- Well-developed communication, influencing, and negotiating skills
- Intensity – lead from the front with your energy, drive, and intensity to get the job done and provide a market-leading experience for the customer
The Package
- Circa $180,000 + Super – Negotiable upon skillset/experience
- Immediate interview and start pending notice period
- Support from an experienced MD and external coach
