Operations Project Manager

About the role

We require a full time, highly motivated and technically astute individual to manage Logistic Projects within NSW for our blue chip clients, predominately in the Healthcare, IT and Gaming industries. This position is responsible for the operational success of equipment delivery and installation, ensuring efficiency of resources, customer expectations met or exceeded and zero damage (to people or equipment). By constructing a robust plan and working with a skilled team, this role performs a critical function within our business.

Specific Accountabilities

• Communicate with customer key contacts, contractors and relevant authorities in planning and execution of projects
• Manage all aspects of the project planning cycle - consolidate, preview, and approve all documentation (COPE and Contractor)
• Create a SWMS for each job relevant to specific requirements
• Conduct Pre-Start Toolbox before every job
• Work with COPE Operations teams to coordinate and book fleet, tools, equipment, and Human Resources 
• Provide team all relevant information to support the quoting or pricing of projects

Skills and experience

• 5 years’ experience in Operations role or similar, preferably in a leadership role
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy
• Self motivated
• Logical and practical thinker
• Superior communications skills

 This role may suit someone wanting practical hands-on experience to complement their Engineering degree or an experienced tradesperson wanting to reduce their time ‘on the tools’.
