In this exciting and hands on role, you will be in supporting the Operations Manager in the compost yard, running a small and supportive team to ensure all production requirements are being met. Less than 30 minutes from Mandurah, this compost yard makes up one part of the bigger picture, from the local farmers and the downtown fruit and veg shops, to the large thriving international company that brings it all together, you will want to be working with this well grown business.DescriptionEnsuring daily, weekly & monthly compost production plans & cleaning schedules are metLooking after the pre-wet and phase 1 compostMonitoring and managing water dam levelsAssisting with accurate stock takes especially straw stocksAssisting in SWP and risk assessment developmentOperation of machinery as per SWPsEnsuring appropriate staffing levels are maintainedAssist in managing performance and development of team membersMaintain compliance with all Company policies and proceduresAbility to work under limited supervision and independently yet also work well as part of a teamReport all incidents, accidents and near misses in accordance with the WHS ProfileHands on leadership experience or potentialComfortable to work in an agricultural setting - Not afraid to get your hands dirty!Excellent communication skillsHigh levels of attention to detailDemonstrated ability to plan and prioritise competing tasksHigh Risk (Forklift) & Front-End Loader licence (preferred) Job OfferWorking in the beautiful Australian outdoors, you will enjoy wide open spaces working in agriculture.
