Collingwood Park Outside School Hours Care is looking to expand its team of Educators at Collingwood Park O.S.H.C. We are seeking a motivated person to join our ever growing outside school hours care team providing care for upto 85 children aged 4-12 years old, and their families. Our service provides Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Cares/Pupil Free Days.

The advertised Educator – Inclusion Support role is a casual position with hours expected to vary between 10 & 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The hours of work will be between 6am and 8:45am (BSC) and 2:00pm – 6pm for (ASC) . Vacation Care hours will vary between service hours of 6am -6pm during School Holidays/Pupil Free Days.
As an Educator – Inclusion Support you will be a team player, collaborating with the Supervisors within the centre to observe, inform and continuously improve our educational programs on offer to our children. You put safety first with everything that you do and ensure all learning experiences are inclusive and respond to the needs of all children in the centre.
This position may include a range of duties and responsibilities; therefore, we would love to hear from eager, enthusiastic, experienced Educators who possess a responsible outlook and pro-active, friendly approach to supporting young people.
Working within a large team of Educators you'll help to provide:

The main duty of these roles includes, but are not limited to:
· Supervising and implementing our daily routine and activities for different age groups (which is outlined in our weekly program);
· collaborating with Supervisors to contribute to the service’s Quality Improvement Plan;
· providing support to your fellow Educators;
· building strong relationships with children and completing observations;
· developing behaviour management with ongoing mentors;
· assist to organise and tidy licensed areas in various rooms;
· prepare materials and supplies for the relevant activities and set up the areas;
· completing evaluations for the program;
The successful candidate for the position of Educator – Inclusion Support ideally meet the following requirements:
Qualifications:
- hold a minimum of Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent (Required)
- hold a valid Working with Children card/Blue Card – Paid employee (Required)
· hold a current First Aid, CPR or willingness to undertake appropriate training within 3 months; and
· a willingness to undertake any relevant training and development for the duration of employment
Work Experience Requirement:
· have experience working with children who have additional needs and/or challenging behaviours – MANDATORY;
· have a minimum of 1-year work experience in a Child Care/OSHC setting;
· experience communicating and liaising with parents and carers from diverse cultural backgrounds; and
· experience interacting with and managing children in a large group setting
Knowledge and Skills Requirement:
· have a good understanding of the National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place;
· be a team-player and be confident when completing new tasks whilst bringing a positive attitude;
· have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
· be able to follow and contribute to the improvement of policy and procedures (these will be available to new staff following successful employment);
· display common sense and the ability to stay calm when unexpected situations arise: this includes a quick reaction time
