Part-Time Bookkeeper

Telair, a dynamic telecommunications company based in Brisbane, is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our growing team. We are a rapidly growing company that can offer opportunities for growth within the role as well as future positions as the team grows.

Job Summary:

As a Part-Time Bookkeeper at Telair, you will play a key role in accurately recording financial transactions. This role involves data entry of accounts payable into our accounting platform, Xero, and the reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions.

We are looking for a bookkeeper who has 5+ years of experience and will be able to own the position from the outset!

The ideal candidate would be suited to working ~5 hours per day, 5 days a week. Once you are fully onboarded and can complete the job autonomously we are open to a work-from-home arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accurate Record Keeping of financial transactions into Xero.
2. Reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions in Xero, including management of employee card expenses
3. Adding all accounts payable invoices into Xero, including coding to the correct accounts
4. Generate and review financial reports to spot anomalies and review the accuracy of your work
5. Understanding and compliance with Tax laws and regulations
6. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial records.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience is a requirement
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Or already completed a Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting and Bookkeeping
• Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles.
• Familiarity with Xero.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
