Patient Services Officer
Mater Private Hospital Townsville has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Patient Services Officer to join our busy Patient Services Department. This is a Casual opportunity with up to 38 hours of work per week available for the right candidate.
Working in a fast-paced environment this position providing a high level of administration the unit, customer service, and general administration support to the team.
Salary range: $28.68 - $33.28 per hour plus superannuation and NFP salary packaging up to $15,900
What you’ll be doing
As a Patient Services Officer you will work within an interdisciplinary team environment and is responsible for the efficient, accurate and timely provision of a range of administrative services.
- Tasks may include but are not limited to;
- Patient admission, discharges and transfers
- Medical record preparation, tracking, filing and maintenance
- Assisting with patient billing
- Wayfinding and general enquiries.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Demonstrated ability to work methodically with speed, efficiency, and exceptional attention to detail in a time-pressured environment.
- Proven experience working in an administrative role within a medical or hospital environment or extensive data entry experience.
- Sound computer literacy and numeracy skills, well-developed keyboard skills, and familiarity with patient administration systems.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and ability to work under the direction of others in a multidisciplinary team environment.
