Position Overview:
The Payroll and Administration Assistant will report to the Accountant and Operations Department and work with a team of dedicated personnel. This role is responsible for the processing of weekly Payroll and day-to-day operational administration duties.
Key responsibilities but not limited to:
- Processing of weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees
- Assist in onboarding and issuing of contracts of employment.
- Monthly reconciliation and lodgment of Superannuation and Payroll Tax
- Provide accurate and reliable responses to employees' queries in a courteous and professional manner
- Administer and maintain employee records
- Compiling and filing of crew qualifications, forms and training documents
- Manual and electronic filing of daily operational paperwork
- Reviewing and updating vessel documentation
- Uniform stock management
Skills and Experience
- Experience with MYOB EXO, Respax and Sage MicrOpay would be desirable
- Interpretation of various industrial instruments
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Previous experience in the tourism or hospitality industry is preferred but not essential.
