This well-known Australian owned company-operates in the FMCG industry leads the way in their sector and has a strong market share. They are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their small team on a permanent full-time basis. The position will be based in their Brisbane Southside office, which includes on-site parking and is a short 10-minute walk from a busy train station!
Your new role
Reporting to the Business Director, you will be responsible for the following:
- Setting up new employees on the payroll system
- Preparing and processing the weekly payroll
- Handle payroll enquiries from employees
- Payroll tax and superannuation payments
- Payroll reconciliations and reporting
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
- End to end payroll experience working in a medium to high volume pay environment
- Experience working with multiple payroll systems
- Strong general knowledge of payroll requirements and legislation
- Excellent communication skills as you will need to liaise with various key stakeholders in the business
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience in the 'ELMO' System is highly desirable
