The Payroll Officer processes the payroll function and related tasks, ensuring accurate payroll services are provided to the business.
This includes end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring employees’ queries are addressed and maintaining the accuracy of the payroll software. This is a full-time permanent role based at our Richlands Support Office. The key responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to: Provide end to end payroll support and solutions for the payroll function ensuring accuracy of all data entered and produced by the payroll system.
Data entry and processing of payroll on a fortnightly basis, ensuring wages are allocated to correct cost centres. Distribute ad hoc reports as and when required. Ensure that fortnightly Electronic Funds Transfer is completed accurately and processed on time.
Process employee terminations and new starters. Attend to superannuation payments and payroll tax payments. Assisting with completion with month and year end processing in line with relevant requirements.
Supported by the Finance teams, provide reports as required to ensure all FBT information is captured accurately. Ensure employees are paid as per relevant Award and Employment Law. Ensure changes to employees are reflective of their employment agreements.
As necessary, audit of employee leave entitlements and hourly rates based on award and legal frameworks. Maintain confidentiality of employee information. You will bring the following skills and experience to the role: Extensive experience in managing payroll function including understanding of superannuation compliance and payroll tax.
Demonstrated knowledge of HR practices is desirable. High attention to detail, along with high degree of accuracy. Planning and organisational abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer literacy skills. Excellent customer service skills.
