Our client is a well-known and highly regarded commercial organisation working across telecommunications, transport, local government, water, power generation, electricity, gas, healthcare, education, resources, and defence industries.
Due to internal promotions, they have an exciting opportunity for a People & Culture Business Partner to join the team supporting high profile Government contracts based in South Australia.
With a dual reporting line to local Operational directors and P and C, this role will be responsible for the delivery of all People & Culture practices within your area.
Bringing your experience from a senior advisory or a business partnering position, coupled with sound change management experience in the people space, you will support the contract leadership team to deliver on the people strategy, and promote effective and considered people practices across the contract. As part of the contract leadership team, you will have the opportunity to shape the role to best meet the needs of the contract and foster a collaborative and respectful working environment. Importantly, you will be adept in the delicate balance of delivering on contract requirements and centralised People initiatives.
Your accountabilities will be:
Overseeing and managing your portfolio area by partnering with Leaders and functional managers to execute People & Culture strategy, initiatives, policies and procedures.
Supporting line leaders during Enterprise Agreement negotiations, as an advisor for major EAs, or a lead negotiator for agreements from time to time.
Supporting line leaders with Fair Work matters including vetting responses, attending conciliations, or attending hearings from time to time.
Conducting investigations into policy breaches or improper conduct.
Developing, coordinating, and delivering training in support of company policy, process and improvement.
Managing for improved performance and organisational change.
Supporting sites across South Australia with occasional travel.
About you
The successful candidate will have experience within a similar outcome focused role/site-based environment, have outstanding relationship building, strong consulting, negotiation and facilitation skills and the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.
You will have a true understanding of the different facets of working within a maintenance services or site-based organisation and be willing to work on site as required.
You will also have a solutions-focused approach, well-developed business acumen and deal with issues and change in a proactive, positive and dynamic way.
You will be degree qualified in Business and/or Human Resources or similar. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a HR role & 2-3 years’ experience in Business Partnering role

The role is being offered as a permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday, based in the Adelaide CBD. We are also open to looking at hybrid work opportunities and the potential of working part-time (minimum 30 hours) for the right candidate. They are also flexible around start and finish times for this role.
