Job description

We are seeking a motivated, solutions-focused People & Culture Advisor to join the team in Melbourne.

This newly created role will blend strategic and operational accountabilities to ensure our teams are supported to do their best work in an environment where they are engaged and can achieve.

As a part of a small local team and with the support of a large global team, this role will encompass the delivery of a diverse range of human resource functions, including providing sound advice and coaching to enable our leaders and broader team.

This position will suit an ambitious P&C Advisor who wants to accelerate their career.

As the successful candidate you will provide generalist expertise, particularly when handling employee relations matters, performance improvement, grievances, investigations, fit to work processes and play an integral part in our community outreach programs including supporting our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives.

 

Our People and Culture team are driven to build strong relationships with our internal stakeholders along with integrating the greater business strategy as a whole


Responsibilities

  • Deliver a comprehensive, business-orientated people service to designated business units, fostering robust, trust-based relationships grounded in our company's five core values
  • Provide considered P&C generalist support, particularly when handling employee relations matters, including performance improvement, grievances, investigations, fit for work processes
  • Provide a confidential and trusted channel for all employee advice, queries, concerns and issues and deliver best practice advice on a range of generalist P&C matters to all employees
  • Support the greater business with cyclical P&C events including goal setting, achievement reviews, compensation review and employee surveys
  • Contribute to the development and review of policies, resources and documents associated with the P&C team, and ensure their continued accuracy, quality and accessibility
  • Be instrumental in fostering a supportive workplace culture, advising business leaders and supporting business decision making
  • Coach front-line leaders and build capability around people processes
  • Provide support to the P&C Director in relation reporting, analysis and the practical implementation of P&C plans or initiatives

 

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources or akin field

 

Competencies

  • Sound knowledge of HR policies and procedures, providing generalist business advice.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work within a small local team managing end to end ANZ function across multiple locations across ANZ. We have a larger international team to support shared services
  • Ability to influence and drive cultural change
  • Work with a mixture of white and blue collar workforces and the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Some travel circa 10%
