Opportunity to kick start your HR career in Local Government Great learning and Development opportunity $71,698 - $77,464 per annum (plus super and RDOs) - hybrid workingAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a PCD Operations Officer to join the City of Boroondara’s People, Culture and Development (PCD) Team. The role is part of our dynamic PCD Operations team, where you will manage a high volume of PCD administrative tasks, manage a busy Inbox, administer pre-employment checks, help on-board candidates, administer reward and recognition programs, help with audits and providing support to the wider PCD team. You will also be part of the Transformation Modernising Payroll project as we work to replacing manual processes with new technology. About the roleReporting to the PCD Operations and Systems Lead, and working with a small team, you will be responsible for providing a customer centric, contemporary and compliant administrative service to PCD and the Council. Key responsibilities will include:administering pre-employment checks, onboarding administration with a focus on the employee experiencesupporting the management of our contingent (contractor) workforce in Comensura Platformmanagement of a busy PCD Inbox that provides great exposure and learning to a range of HR Change requestsraising purchase orders and reconciling invoices for the departmentdrafting correspondence and performing a generalist administration role. Additionally, you will support the Executive Manager and broader PCD team as needed providing financial and administration support with regards to the PCD budget, invoicing, running of reports and assisting with the coordination of PCD people related programs and events. What will you bring to the role?You will need to enjoy administration, coordination and problem solving, have good attention to detail and question things when they don't look correct, possess excellent written and communication skills and enjoy working in a customer facing role with our internal customers, being our employees of Boroondara. You will have excellent time management skills and can multi-task and meet tight deadlines that help us achieve our desire to improve the employee experience of all interactions that come into the PCD Operations Team. You will also need to have the desire and ability to quickly gain working knowledge of our employment conditions and how they are applied throughout the business. You will have comprehensive computer skills across the Microsoft Office range of applications, competent with excel and feel confident working with digital technology. You will also be the type of person that takes pride in their work and looks for excellence in quality outcomes and efficient work practices along with accuracy.
