About the role:
Nova Systems are looking to hire a People Officer for a 12-month contract. As the People Officer you are responsible for providing comprehensive support and expertise to the People Partnering Team, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of people services within Nova Systems. This role is the first point of contact in the business for people related queries. Core responsibilities include managing email and phone enquiries, maintaining employee records, managing people documents (e.g., employment records), system administration and updating internal databases.
What will you be involved in:
• Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, managing administration tasks from induction to offboarding
• Act as an initial point of contact for employee queries and concerns
• Provide comprehensive administrative support, ensuring compliance and efficiency
• Collaborate with payroll for accurate and timely processing
• Maintain and update HR data in Oracle HCM, ensuring accuracy
• Generate necessary HR reports and analytics
• Coordinate seamless onboarding and offboarding experiences for our people
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance tier one inquiries
• Assist in developing and implementing people-related policies and procedures
• Support people projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the employee experience
What we would like from you:
• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or similar, and/or relevant experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of Human Resource legislation and regulations
• Demonstrated relationship management and interpersonal skills with strong problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and highly organised
• High level of discretion and the ability to handle confidential information
• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office applications
