Practice Manager

 Monaro Medical Practice is built on a founding purpose to provide a high standard of medical care to our valued patients from our local rural community and visiting from out of town.   

We are currently looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Practice Manager for our new Practice in Cooma NSW on a full-time basis.  

Responsibilities 

• Ensure the Practice provides best practice primary health care to the community 
• Ensure process and systems are in accordance with National Standards for Accreditation 
• Manage team performance of practice clinical and non-clinical employees 
• Source and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, health providers, and community organisations 
• Develop and implement a practice business plan which will enhance further an already high standard of patient health outcomes while driving financial sustainability  

Essential Requirements 

• Previous experience in management - any industry, ideally 5+ years’ experience working with multidisciplinary teams will be highly regarded 
• Experience in financial management tasks, payroll, budgets, fee schedule revision, billings, stock control, financial statements and KPI and target analysis 
• Knowledge of governing healthcare bodies such as Services Australia, PRODA and HPOS, Medicare, Practice Incentive Program, Workforce Incentive Program, NSW Health and Accreditation 
• An understanding of employment and fair work guidelines 
• Strength in building customer and stakeholder relationships 
• Ability to manage a diverse range of team members and contractors 
• Demonstrated patient focused approach in service provision 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

Mandatory 

• First Aid  
• Working with Children's Check  
• National Criminal Record Check 

Desirable 

• Diploma or Certificate in Practice Management or related field 

Remuneration will be based on level of skill set and experience
