CB&I is currently seeking to engage a Business Development Professional to join our dedicated and professional team, reporting to the Commercial Director, this role will strengthen our position and reputation within our sector and secure opportunities, projects and alliances within the Australian Market.
This role will be crucial in identifying and obtaining new business, establishing long-term customer relationships, and promotion of CB&I’s products and services.
As a Senior member of the business you will lead by example and represent CB&I internally and externally, acting as an ambassador for the company.
The Role
- Securing, overseeing and coordinating new business opportunities
- Foster and Develop positive customer relations. Listen to customer needs and assist in the development of project solutions that satisfy those requirements and provide opportunities for CB&I.
- Ensure that projects obtained meet CB&I guidelines by providing judgment and guidance in screening opportunities, contract negotiation, risk management and profit potential.
- Leading sales processes, providing direction to bid teams to achieve goals on time and on budget.
- Outline, write, and organize proposal documents, while also making timely edits and revisions to documents after reviews
- Actively seeking to increase the number and quality of contacts among customers and other market influencers by identifying new product and market opportunities, utilizing contacts and identifying partnership opportunities.
- Identifies and/or develop new product and market opportunities via early involvement in a prospective project’s selling cycle.
About you
Familiarity with CB&I’s products and market sector is highly advantageous.
Communication is key. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be a master networker and a confident presenter to internal and external business stakeholders.
A savvy commercially minded individual who can develop new product and market opportunities, identify and mitigate risks involved with EPC projects, terms and conditions.
Mentally agile with strong problem solving skills.
It is essential you are a team player to succeed in this role
Qualifications & Experience
- 10 + Years of Commercial Contracting (3+ Years’ experience in EPC Operations preferred)
- Professional degree (Engineering or BSc Preferred)
- Familiarity with the Engineering & Construction Industry
- Knowledge of CB&I Storage Solutions products & markets advantageous
- Fundamental understanding of Commercial Contracting and Negotiations
- Australian full work rights with no restrictions
