About the role:
You will be leading our Food Manufacturing Process department, managing & coordinating staff, production scheduling, stock control, production reporting and coordinating with other key staff within the business to ensure we meet our customers’ requirements. The role will also have a strong focus on QA within our production processes to ensure our high standards are maintained.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction, and management to the factory‐based team, and their reports, to set and achieve / exceed KPI’s, productivity, quality, and safety & QA targets;
- Strong emphasis on continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and waste, and improve productivity and quality;
- Maintain staff training through internally developed systems of process, and lead change initiatives through supervisors & floor staff;
- Liaes with Maintenace staff to increase production efficiency and improve product quality and recovery percentages through equipment improvement & upgrades, with an emphasis on lean practices;
- Apply the companies organisational structure within the departments, with ensuring roles & responsibilities are clearly defined to your staff to ensure accountability for the production of product & safety of our staff;
- Report to the Operations Manager / General Manager
Experience & Skills Required:
- Focused, driven & accurate leadership experience, ability to multitask with varied production setups;
- Understanding and compliance of OHS and QS standards in relation to a process facility;
- Ability to apply effective leadership, with a focus on improving workplace culture & increase staff engagement to their task;
- Experience in production scheduling processes;
- Practical understanding HACCP, SQF, and other customer standards including export requirements;
- Strong commercial awareness and an ability to communicate at all levels in the business;
The successful candidate must be based in Bundaberg or be willing to relocate to Bundaberg, Queensland.
