Seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to drive further success of a $60M in revenue wholesaler business.
The CompanyA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced Procurement Officer to join a growing wholesaler company ($60M in rev).
The Role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer your responsibilities will include;
- Assist in the daily activities of the procurement department, including purchasing inventory.
- Plan and execute procurement strategies to meet the company's operational needs and budgetary constraints.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favourable terms and conditions, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Evaluate supplier performance and support regular supplier reviews to assess quality, reliability, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements within the procurement function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Foster positive relationships with suppliers and other external partners, resolving disputes or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and logistics, to align procurement activities with overall business objectives and strategies.
Your Background
In order to be successful in this role you will be;
- Proven experience working in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management (at least 2 years)
- Confident with the ability to work across all functions within the organisation, communicate at all levels and negotiate improved total value outcomes.
- Proficiency in ERP and transformation projects will be looked at favourably.
