Part time procurement roles
Two positions, 1 part time 0.8 FTE and 1 part time 0.6 FTE
Please note – these positions will be primarily based at our Geelong headquarters with at least one day per week required in our Port Melbourne office.

How you'll make an impact
We are currently recruiting for the part time positions of Procurement Specialist and Procurement Officer. Both positions are offered on a part-time basis. The roles are offered at 30.4 hours per week for the specialist role and 22.8 hours per week for the officer role. The roles are a key part of our Legal and Governance team and present exciting opportunities that will provide a genuine challenge in a supportive culture.

About you
Procurement Specialist
As the Procurement Specialist you have responsibility for providing procurement expertise and assisting stakeholders to plan, develop, source, and manage procurement arrangements to meet business objectives.
Reporting to the Legal Counsel and Contracts Manager you will maintain and review PV’s procedures and policies and provide hands-on support across the business.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Effective communication skills – including negotiation and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of government procurement policies, issues, and strategic directions (Victorian government experience preferred).
- Flexibility – able to adapt approaches and work to changes in the environment and meets new challenges.
- Detail focus - undertake detailed work in a precise and accurate manner.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law and/or in another relevant discipline will be well regarded.
Procurement Officer
As the Procurement Officer you have responsibility for assisting stakeholders to plan, develop, source, and manage procurement arrangements to meet business objectives.
About you
Ideally, you'll have:
- Sound research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in government procurement (Victorian government experience preferred).
- Flexibility – able to adapt approaches and work to changes in the environment and meets new challenges.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law and/or in another relevant discipline, or relevant work experience, will be well regarded.
Work environment
You will work in a modern office environment with flexibility on days and work location, including options to work from home as part of a planned approach. There will be a requirement to spend some part of the week in our North Geelong headquarters and some part at our Port Melbourne project office. There is a genuine team environment. Salary Information
The positions are covered by the Ports Victoria (Melbourne) Enterprise Agreement 2021.
The Procurement Specialist is graded at level 4 with a starting pro-rata salary of $82,357 per annum based on working 30.4 hours per week.
The Procurement Officer is graded at level 3 with a starting pro-rata salary of $51,944 per annum based on working 22.8 hours per week.
