An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Coordinator to join the Jo Mercer Product Development Team based on site at our Support Office in South Yarra. Reporting into the Product Developer, you will gain invaluable exposure into managing the end-to-end process of developing high quality women’s fashion shoes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to develop their skills, together with ongoing development opportunities within shoe design.

Responsibilities
- Managing and tracking the sample process, which includes fitting comments, graded fit requests, sample status and confirmation of samples
- Assisting the Product Development Team in range development and the sampling approval process including fittings
- Liaising daily with our offshore suppliers and factories
- Briefing new ranges to suppliers for development and negotiating prices.
- Maintaining effective relationships and regular communication with suppliers
- Coordinating samples for photo shoots and advertising
- Supporting the product team with administrative needs
- Managing the development process from sampling through the QA process to delivery
- Maintaining tidy Product team workspaces
- In addition to the above, you may be required to assist with other task and /or assist other departments depending on the needs of the business
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Design Assistant, Product Supply Coordinator or Production Assistant/Coordinator role within a buying team is preferable
- Proactive, motivated and likes working in a fast-paced environment
- Have great attention to detail and work well under pressure
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to demonstrate flexible and critical thinking
- Excel, Adobe and Outlook experience is preferred
- Adobe illustrator skills favourable
- The ability to travel is ideal
