- Role Title: Energy Efficiency Program Officer
- Duration : 12 months with extensions or possible perm opportunity for the right person.(ongoing program)
- Rates : $65 P/H + super
- Location: Work from home 3 days - 1 day in Parramatta and 1 day in the city office. (decided each week what suits the team)
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Residency Working Rights - is a must.

Join our dynamic Energy Security Safeguard policy team and take a pivotal role in shaping the future of Energy efficiency and sustainability in Australia. We are seeking a talented Project officer specializing in policy to contribute to the statutory review of the Energy Savings Scheme and the Peak Demand Reduction Scheme. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence policy direction, assess scheme effectiveness, and drive meaningful reform within the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the performance of existing energy schemes against objectives.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses of energy schemes.
- Identify opportunities for reform and contribute to legislative amendments.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to government ministers.
- Assist in policy design and review, particularly focusing on the Renewable Fuel Scheme.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of government processes and policy development.
- Knowledge of the Australian energy sector and relevant technologies.
- Experience in policy development or regulatory environments.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Effective communication abilities across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency in synthesizing technical information and delivering actionable insights.
- Knowledge of policy instruments such as Renewable Energy Target and Energy Savings Scheme.
- Previous experience with certificate schemes would be advantageous.
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Residency Working Rights - is a must!
