Some of the responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Assist to review the project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures and potential construction problems
- Assist to prepare construction schedules and monitor the construction process to ensure all work are completed within the timeframes
- Assist to prepare project cost estimation, and monitoring the project budget to ensure all expenditures are within the allowance
- Revise estimates and implement required changes
- Finalize and present tenders to the manager
- Monitor subcontractor scope of work
- Provide advice and cost planning information on a day-to-day basis
- Identify and learn customer requirements for bid purposes
- Manage and maintain document control practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the operation of projects
- Manage subcontractors inclusive of compiling scope of works, tender packages, reviewing and vetting contractor quotes
- Establish and maintain a network of local suppliers and subcontractors
- Participate in pre and post-bid meetings as required
- Monitor the project workflow and schedule on a daily basis
- Effectively communicate and record requests from internal team and trades
- Working closely with estimation and material supply department
- Maintain accurate record management
- Manage and control the maintenance & warranty period including booking of required trades
- All other directions and instructions asked of you by the Manager and Management
To be successful you will have:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience or bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, construction project management, or equivalent education background
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Due to the internal & external clients' need, fluent in Mandarin is a must
- Experience with Buildertrend Software is preferred however experience with CRM and construction management/workflow software will be highly regarded
- Highly organized, planner and problem solver
- Time management and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
- Australian Driver’s Licence
