Job description

Zinfra partners with companies across the utility and infrastructure sectors to deliver maintenance, operations, engineering, and construction services. For our partners our work is crucial to maintaining the safety and reliability of their electricity and gas transmission and distribution assets.

About the role:

In this critical role, the Project Coordinator is instrumental in supporting the Project Manager to ensure the streamlined execution of projects within Jemena's portfolio, with a keen focus on routine projects valued up to $5M. The position requires a hands-on approach to the coordination and management of projects, strictly adhering to Jemena’s Project Management Methodology. These projects are integral to the energy network's infrastructure, involving routine CAPEX and OPEX projects as outlined in Jemena’s Asset Management Plans and/or the Capital Operating Works Plan (COWP). The scope of these projects includes asset relocation or development initiatives catering to the needs of Jemena, developers, Government authorities, and Jemena customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Support Project Management: You will play a crucial role in aiding the Project Manager across all project management stages, including planning, execution, control, and closure, adhering to established methodologies and timelines to ensure project success.

·  Project Coordination: Ensure effective coordination of project activities, resources, and stakeholders, guaranteeing smooth project flow and alignment with organizational objectives.

· Progress Oversight: Vigilantly monitor project progress and milestones, delivering timely updates to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders to enable informed decision-making and the timely resolution of potential issues.

· Technical Assistance: Provide essential technical advice and data support during the preliminary stages of project development, specifically within the 'Plan and Define' phase of the Construction Process life-cycle, aiding in thorough project planning and scoping.

· Compliance and Quality Assurance: Maintain strict adherence to Jemena Operating Model standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring project integrity and the highest quality standards.

· Documentation Management: Keep comprehensive and accurate records of project documentation, supporting effective project tracking, evaluation, and compliance with audit requirements.

· Stakeholder Engagement: Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to build strong relationships and support project objectives.

· Risk Management: In collaboration with the Project Manager, identify and address project risks and issues proactively to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.

· Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to the refinement of project management practices and processes by providing constructive feedback, evaluating current practices, and embracing best practices for future projects.

About you:

·        Tertiary qualifications in business administration and/or project management is well regarded.

·        Experience in the energy and/or infrastructure industry is desirable but not essential.

·        Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to support the development and management of project plans, reports and project communications.

·        Applicants should be competent in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications – particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
