Position summary
The objective of the Project Development Manager (PDM) is to drive work opportunities from early engagement to bid preparation, and ultimately contract award.
The PDM will work within Pre-Contracts, collaborating closely with the Design and Engineering Team to support the development of industry leading water & wastewater engineered solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively develop relationships with industry partners and prospective clients through the early engagement and bid management phases to sustain referral-based revenue
- Bring a positive and client-centric mindset to the work-winning process that focuses on points of differentiation, innovative technical solutions, value engineering as an advantage over competitors
- Develop company value propositions to clients early in the work-winning process, with the aim of securing sole-source contracts and avoiding key projects going to open market.
- Manage expressions of Interest (EOIs), panel and tender submissions, specifically coordinating high quality design and technical input from the business and supplier network.
- Collaborate and prepare project estimates, costings, and program based on agreed design and engineering philosophies, managing tender resources involved
- Facilitate strong open communication to ensure risks and opportunities are clearly documented
- Play a key role in the handover of projects alongside the PreContracts Manager to the Water Operations Manager and nominated Project Manager/ Director.
About you
- Previous experience in a business development, pre-contracts or project management capacity within the water & wastewater treatment sector
