The Position
The Project Manager is accountable to the Project Director and is responsible for the successful project management of designated projects spanning a diverse range of deliverables and stakeholders.
About You
You have experience delivery high value projects from project initiation to completion in accordance with corporate policies, standards and departmental procedures. This will include the management of regulated, de-regulated and non-regulated projects under contractual arrangements.
Some of your accountabilities include:
- Develop and implement an effective project communications plan for internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish a program of meetings, and communicate key outcomes through meeting minutes.
- Prepare regular project reports specifying physical and financial progress.
- Develop community/stakeholder consultation plans where necessary.
- Establish and maintain a Project Plan (including schedule and timetable) and track Project progress against the Plan.
- Follow established work practices and promote and maintain safety, whilst controlling environmental impacts and complying with legislative responsibilities.
- Identify and eliminate hazards and potentially dangerous situations.
- Develop and implement timely Project Plans including schedule, timetable, implementation plans and resource strategies in consultation with project stakeholders.
- As required, manage geographically dispersed, multi-disciplinary teams to perform the work in accordance with project specification, statutory and environmental requirements with consideration and understanding of the differing state based legislative requirements and community expectations.
- Monitor the financial performance and progress of designated projects against the estimate.
- Provide timely and accurate Project reporting for various Project and POW stakeholders.
- Monitor the progress of all designated projects to ensure that they are brought in on time and on budget and against the agreed specification/objectives/deliverables.
- Pro-actively manage project risk and perform project risk assessments to identify issues that will affect project outcomes and develop risk management plans to mitigate the risk.
- Communicate major risks and issues to senior management.
- Collaborates effectively managing information and confidentiality requirements across Energy Queensland Limited in accordance with applicable ring-fencing parameters.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to health, safety and environment and support a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and practices.
- Degree qualifications in Project Management, Business Management, Engineering (or related discipline)
- C Class Driver’s Licence
- 3-5 years Project Management experience in Energy, Oil & Gas or Mining industry.
