Form of work2024 is an exciting year of growth for this private development group and they are looking to appoint a Project Manager with the ability to hit the ground running to deliver multi-unit retirement living projects with construction values over $100m. Initially the development pipeline will comprise three multi-storey, retirement living apartment developments, with additional sites being assessed for future projects.
Two of the group’s projects are currently under construction with a third residential tower moving into DA and another to be managed through ECI phase into delivery during 2024. This role will offer long-term stability and career progression within a high calibre team of multi-disciplined development and delivery professionals based in Brisbane.
The position will appeal to a Project Manager who is accustomed to collaborating within a team environment, whilst being comfortable having a large degree of autonomy to manage their own project outcomes. Someone that has the confidence and ability to make proactive, commercially minded decisions and capable of dealing with various stakeholders including buyers, consultants, head contractors and statutory authorities. Recent experience delivering high quality, luxury finishes for multi-storey residential apartment projects for a head contractor or developer-builder will be advantageous. You will be involved at the concept and ECI stage of each project, with the ability to influence the delivery outcome through your expertise.
Ideally you will have experience delivering construction projects with budgets ranging up to $100m+, and possessing the following experience:
- Managing overall project programming, and coordinating main contractors scopes of works;
- Tender negotiations and head contract procurement;
- Managing the project delivery outcomes across quality, time and budget;
- Project monitoring and cost reporting throughout;
- Preparing overall project safety, environment, stakeholder communication plans;
- Coordinating final approvals in preparation for construction start;
- Managing developer’s legal and commercial risk relating to the head contract;
- Ongoing project stakeholder engagement and management;
- Positive and proactive leadership in motivating contractors and consultants;
- A construction management, quantity surveying, engineering or related property degree;
- Demonstrated industry (10 years+) and relevant project experience
