Great opportunity to work with a growing fit-out head contractor on design & build commercial fit-out jobs. Will be working alongside the director and Senior Project Manager in a dynamic environment.
A growing fit-out head contracting company with a proven track record of successfully delivering turnkey commercial D&B projects, they are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their professional team.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering safe, high quality and profitable construction projects from conversion, through to hand over, finalization and review providing a high quality service that will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
Projects are likely to range in value from $300k up to $2m+ and of a D&B turnkey nature in the CBD and inner suburbs. Can take someone that has PM experience or someone that is looking for a step up into a dynamic company. Potential for profit share on projects and helping form the strategic direction of the business working alongside the Director and Senior Project Manager.
There is a strong pipeline of projects as well as an excellent track record of project delivery.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Managing multiple projects concurrently at various stages of construction
Oversee financial management, planning and programming on all projects
Conduct regular programme and internal project audits
Manage dispute resolution between both clients and subcontractors
Review and improve construction methodologies
Supervise the recruitment, induction and development of project based staff, ensuring regular performance feedback occurs
Ensure industrial relations issues are resolved and industrial arrangements are up to date
Qualifications and Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or similar
Minimum 3 - 8 years+ experience in the successful delivery of commercial fit-out projects from start to finish with a head contractor
Proven leadership ability in building and motivating teams
Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standards
Strong project financial reporting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Strong negotiation skills
Develops and maintains strong relationships with all stakeholders
Experience with Microsoft Office suite
