We have partnered with a Vic State Government Agency on a digital transformation initiative and are looking to place a Project Manager to join our team on a 12 month contract basis with a possibility to extend.
The role will be based in Melbourne.
The Role:
Responsible for managing overall delivery, budget and timelines as well as ensuring there is effective communication between the development/agile team and the management/governance layer.
Removes impediments and blockers that sit outside the remit of the agile team across an Application Cloud Migration.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A minimum of 5 years Project Management experience.
- Experience working within complex ICT environments (preferably within government sector) and reporting to Steering Committees at senior management and exec levels.
- Formal project management methodology experience required - either PRINCE2 or PMBOK.
- Experience managing the full project life cycle from planning through to operational support hand-over.
- Experience managing multi-functional teams across Business Analysis, Architecture (Solution, Security, Data, Infrastructure), Development, and Testing.
- Extensive experience in managing software development and or COTS implementation.
- Hands-on experience required in managing finance/forecast and delivering projects to approved budget.
