Why Your Role Matters:
The Project Manager, Nexus and Gateway Equity Targets plays a lead role in bringing about great education and student experience outcomes for underrepresented student populations, including low-socioeconomic backgrounds and/or socio-educationally disadvantaged schools.
The role will bring together two innovative UNSW education and student experience initiatives - and through bringing an equity cohort perspective in the planning, development and implementation of Nexus projects.
The role will apply best practice project and change management principles, along with an appreciation of education best practice and the needs of equity cohorts in the developing project planning documentation, supporting and building appropriate project teams and initiating and overseeing the project delivery schedule, including monitoring all stakeholder engagement and quality assurance.

Who You Are:
Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience.
Demonstrated expertise in working across complex stakeholder environments and supporting programs of work varying in maturity and complexity.
Proven project management experience, with an in-depth understanding of the project life cycle and strategic development of project plans, objectives, and documentation.
Experience in learning design and/or supporting equity cohorts in achieving high level education and student experience outcomes is desirable.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively on initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organisation.
Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
