The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Project Support Officer to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to further your career in project management and contract administration within the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain efficient filing and archiving system in accordance with GNM Group policy and procedures
- Coordinate all employee travel and accommodation arrangements,
- Coordinate all site visitor and site mobilisation requests.
- Assist the Project Manager in claims, variations, and contract requirements.
- Liaise with stakeholders to rectify any roster, leave or termination discrepancies.
- Ensure all necessary forms are completed and sent to payroll in a timely manner.
- Follow up on daily pre-start checklists for vehicle and plant
- Coordinate PPE requirements and distribute accordingly.
- Order and maintain stationary supplies and other miscellaneous office items required on site.
- Coordinate mail and courier package distribution, photocopying, opening mail and alerting team members of urgent or important matters.
- Assist with meeting minute taking for project meetings as requested.
- Attend to general incoming queries, directing them to relevant staff members where necessary.
- Assist with the data entry of HSE and Contracts Administration requirements, where required.
- Comply with GNM Group’s policy, procedure, client specification or statutory obligations for all activities
Experience and Capability
- Previous experience in the civil construction or heavy industrial sectors would be highly advantageous
- Ideally experienced with administration of contract obligations including payment claims, notice of delays, EOTs, variations etc.
- Ability to priorities tasks under pressure, working towards deadlines and targets.
- A current drivers licence.
- A current construction white card.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with applications including MSOffice, and other construction management software.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to build and maintain positive working relationships with project teams, clients and industry contacts.
These are residential roles based in Townsville.
