You have completed a degree in accounting.
You have a very good work ethic, and are able to demonstrate that with examples and testimonials.
You have a desire to develop a long career in Public Practice accounting, helping clients achieve their goals, and at the same time ensure they remain compliant with all relevant laws.
As you will be communicating with clients, we expect that you have excellent verbal and written English skills.
Your new role
This role is for 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Our office closes at 3pm every Friday so an early finish for everyone!
Day to day, this role will see you:
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly Business Activity Statements
- Preparation of annual financial statements, including workpapers, Profit and Loss reports and Balance Sheets for small and medium businesses
- Preparation of annual income tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Preparation of annual compliance reports for SMSFs, and liaise with the auditors
- Research and use your skills and knowledge to apply income tax and other laws to particular client situations
- Liaise directly with clients
- End-of-year requirements, including tax planning and trust distribution minutes.
Our business is a Xero based practice, so your skills and knowledge in Xero will be highly regarded. Knowledge of other accounting software packages will also be well regarded. We are predominately an electronic based practice with digital workpapers and document storage.
Our clients range from some individual clients with investments or businesses, to large private businesses with several related entities and turnover in excess of $10 million.
Remuneration will be paid based on your knowledge, skills and experience. We encourage all those that have several years’ experience in a similar role to apply.
