Purchasing Officer We are currently working with a Tier 1 mining company who is looking to engage an experienced Purchasing Officer.
Duration:
6-month assignment, with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required for mining operations.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements.
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
- Understanding of ERP functionality.
- 3-5 experience in a similar role.
- Mining experience.
- Previous experience in technical sourcing, procurement and expediting Pronto experience.
- Excellent understanding of the full P2P process.
- Understanding of invoice processing.
