Purchasing officer

Purchasing Officer We are currently working with a Tier 1 mining company who is looking to engage an experienced Purchasing Officer.

Duration:
6-month assignment, with potential for extension.

Perth, Western Australia

Start Date:
Immediate

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required for mining operations.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements.
• Evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.

• Understanding of ERP functionality.
• 3-5 experience in a similar role.
• Mining experience.
• Previous experience in technical sourcing, procurement and expediting Pronto experience.
• Excellent understanding of the full P2P process.
• Understanding of invoice processing.
