Our Toowoomba business, Kotzur Bulk Solids Handling Pty Ltd, is a specialist manufacturer of mechanical handling equipment for the agricultural, industrial and mineral resource industries.
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer for our Toowoomba Qld office. We are looking for a candidate who is highly organised, motivated, self-driven, has a can-do approach to challenges and tasks, has great attention to detail, and has a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Liaising with suppliers & other stakeholders to negotiate purchasing & supply of goods and services, ensuring an on-time provision of supplies
- Negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best deal & value for money for individual products or longer-term discount agreements.
- Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies within budgets
- Maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Maintaining the business system
- Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Assisting with the resolution of discrepancies or problems that prohibit timely ordering of goods and services or timely payment of invoices.
