The Responsibilities
Working as part of the procurement team you will undertake a variety of tasks across forecasting, inventory, purchasing and stock transfers between national distributions centers. With a newly implemented ERP system, Odoo, you will enjoy the journey of continuous improvement as the business continues to move from manual processing to online systems. Excel is still a key component of the position so if you love Excel and deep diving into the data, then you will love this role! You will also gain exposure to a national and international supply chain covering both raw materials and finished goods. Responsibilities include;
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels ensuring stock availability to meet operational demands.
- Daily reporting of orders and out of stock items.
- Create and manage purchase orders.
- Prepare delivery dockets and match to purchase orders.
- Manage discrepancies and damaged stock with suppliers and monitor credits.
- Undertake timely and best value purchases of office and warehouse supplies.
- Provide delivery and supply updates to internal stakeholders
- Proactively maintain relationships with supplies and internal stakeholders.
- Analysis of procurement data to track performance.
- Identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide general support to the Purchasing Manager and back-up assistance to co-workers as required.

Your Background
Whilst full training will be provided, we are ideally seeking some experience in purchasing and/or production planning and exposure to buying. We are also open to accepting applications from experienced administrators looking to break into purchasing who may have studied in the field. This is a very busy position with a lot of moving parts and therefore we are seeking the following attributes and skills to ensure your success;
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Formulas, Lookups)
- Exposure to an ERP system advantageous
- Self motivated and highly organised
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong sense of urgency and time management
- Accurate data entry skills
- Proactive problem-solving skills
- Willingness to take ownership of areas of responsibility
- Strong interpersonal skills
