We are one of the largest Asian food and beverage importer and distributor with offices in Sydney and Melbourne. We are experiencing year-on-year growth and distributing more than 1000 different types of Asian food and beverage products across Australia.
About the role
We are looking for a full-time Purchasing Officer to support our Purchasing Department. To succeed in this role, the candidate must be proactive and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
You will be responsible but are not limited to:
- Issue purchase orders and mange order schedule
- Track orders throughout the purchasing process and help to address any delays
- Provide related database back up to the purchasing team as required. i.e. data input of stock receipts, price increase, stock transfer, discounts structures, special quotes and sales trend
- Maintain and monitor quantities of inventory to ensure that shortages and stock outs are avoided
- Liaising & negotiating with suppliers and internal relevant departments
- Sourcing goods as needed
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Advanced Excel knowledge and proficient in other applications
- Good command of both written and spoken in English and Chinese (must fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese)
- Strong analytical skills and strong understanding of stock control
- High attention to details with a focus on accuracy
- Current NSW driver's license and own vehicle
