The Role:

We currently have a vacancy for a full time Quality Assurance Officer at our Tongala facility. This role includes opportunities for integrated work-study, providing employees with hands-on experience in Quality Assurance practices. At the end of the program, successful participants will be eligible for qualifications and certifications in Quality Assurance, enhancing their career prospects in the meat industry.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor the successful candidate must have the ability to:

• Undertake programmed day to day quality control procedures and assist with various Quality Assurance tasks.
• Initiate corrective and preventive action where required.
• Ensure product meets all required hygiene, Aus-Meat export and domestic regulations.
• The hours of work for this role will need to be flexible as the successful candidate will be required to work overtime as required.

You Will Have:

• Demonstrable knowledge of safe working practices and apply that understanding in your daily work.
• Capacity to undertake additional training and development as part of the Quality team.
• Effective communication and computer skills (MS applications)
• Ability to work as a team member or on your own as the situation may provide.
• This role will suit a candidate who has attention to detail combined with excellent communication skills and gains satisfaction from getting things done right, first time.
