SalaryAPG Workforce are currently seeking an experienced Pre Op Quality Assurance Officer based in Beresfield.
The Role:
- Shifts/Hours: 2am to 10am shift
- Casual full time hours
- Pay Rate: $36.41 base + shift work allowances + daily QA allowance)
- Flexible to work some weekends & OT when required
- Must be comfortable working around raw poultry and at times evisceration areas (blood, internal organs and innards of bird + odour of the like).
- Maintenance and improvements of Quality System
- Conducting internal audits.
- Preparation and participation in external audits.
- Performing verification of monitoring activities during production.
- Verification of completed daily paperwork.
- Prepare all samples for lab testing.
- Analysis of lab results.
- Data entry, filing and reporting activities.
- Collecting product samples.
- Performing the duties of an internal audit.
- Product evaluation including fresh and frozen product.
- Food Technology degree/qualification will be highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to make quick and correct decisions “on the job”.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to arrive at and implement long term preventive actions.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to achieve departmental targets (meet Baiada guidelines).
- Able to work a flexible roster, including weekends.
- Experience in Quality Assurance within a food related discipline required (Poultry highly regarded)
- Food Science/Microbiological background an advantage
- Knowledge and experience working in and industry with HACCP Food Safety/Risk Management ISO systems will be highly regarded;
